Chelsy Yvonne Davy (born 13 October 1985) has been the on/off girlfriend of Prince Harry of Wales since 2004.
Biography
Chelsy Davy was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, to Charles (*1952) and Beverley (*1959) Davy. She has a older brother Shaun Davy. Her father, a millionaire safari operator in Zimbabwe, has reportedly had close ties to the regime of Robert Mugabe. Davy grew up at her family's homestead in the Lemco Safari Area, a stretch of land covering 1,300 square miles, from where Davy's father runs his safari companies. While growing up, Davy wanted to be a model, but never quite had "the looks to make it".
Davy received early education at Girls' College (in Bulawayo), Cheltenham Ladies' College, and Stowe School. She graduated from the University of Cape Town in November 2006 with a degree in Economics after which she took a gap year to travel the world with her friends and her brother Shaun. She spent much of February 2007 traveling around the U.S. but by September 2007, Davy had moved to England to take up an accelerated LLB law course at the University of Leeds. In December 2008, she worked as an intern for Farrer & Company, a London law firm. As of July 2009, Davy has completed her accelerated LLB course at Leeds University but is expected to return to work in London at the law firm Allen & Overy, where she has accepted a training contract beginning September 2010, after her summer break in Cape Town.
Relationship with Prince Harry
Chelsy Davy had a relationship with Prince Harry, the younger son of HRH The Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and his first wife Diana, Princess of Wales, from late 2004 to January 2009, when the pair mutually agreed to end their relationship.
During that time, as the girlfriend of a member of the British Royal Family Davy was the subject of worldwide tabloid speculation. Alleged reasons for the split were that Harry's partying had gone too far and that Harry seemed more committed than ever to army life, although a royal source told People magazine the pair felt their relationship "had run its course". It has also been mentioned in the British press that due to her father's links to Robert Mugabe, Harry's family put heavy pressure on him to end the relationship.
In September 2009 it was stated that the couple were back together, and although the pair have been photographed, they are said to be avoiding the limelight

Born in October 1985 to wealthy Zimbabwean businessman Charles Davy and his former model and Miss Rhodesia wife Beverley, Chelsy - who has an elder brother, Shaun - enjoyed a privileged start to life. A stint at South Africa's Girls College Bulawayo was followed by a traditional English education at prestigious Cheltenham Ladies' College and top-flight public school Stowe. She is reported to have struck up a relationship with Prince Charles' younger son after meeting him through mutual British pals in the spring of 2004; although they weren't photographed together until December that year.

While pals say the pretty blonde had aspirations to become a model, Chelsy has proven herself a dedicated student, refusing to let even a royal romance distract her from her education. And with Harry undergoing army training, first at Sandhurst and then with the Blues and Royals, and Chelsy pursing accountancy at Cape Town University, it meant that for the first two years their relationship was a long-distance one. Holidays in South Africa and regular visits to London by Chelsy helped keep the relationship alive during the first stages of their romance.

Although their relationship was reported to have become strained after stories emerged in the press of Harry apparently straying. "Chelsy and Harry are both earthy, physical people, but Chelsy is no doormat," a source close to the attractive South African once said. "If she isn't happy, she will let you know - loudly. And I think Harry appreciates that." She certainly proved a constant figure in the young Prince's life, being a regular sight on the sidelines at his polo matches and glowing with pride at his Sandhurst graduation party. The couple were drawn together by a love of action and adventure. Both were at one time prominent figures on the London party scene - especially South Kensington haunt Boujis - while Chelsy's sky-diving activities matched the Prince's enthusiasm for adrenaline sports. "Everyone thinks she's tremendous fun," a friend said of the bubbly blonde with whom, according to his elder brother, Harry was "very much in love".

In September 2007, Chelsy exchanged the sunny climes of South Africa for the north of England, when she enrolled on a two-year postgraduate politics degree at Leeds University. Friends of the pretty blonde said that she hoped the move would cement her relationship with Harry, who, just days before her course began, told pals at his 23rd birthday party her move to the UK was the best birthday present he could ever get.Sadly by the start of 2009, the relationship came to an end, strained, said their friends, by the pressures of his military career. Since then they have kept in touch by text and email, leaving the possibility that their longterm romance may rekindle in the future.
